Tired of noodle soup How about some crunchy crispy noodles shaped as a bird nest, enveloping stir-fried veggies, shrimps, pork , squid and fish fillets. Your taste buds will definitely appreciate you

I've been here several times so this review is overdue. The French-style beef steak and the crispy salmon are my favorite dishes here. Their beef stew is okay, not great. My toddler likes the house special chow fun.
The food is cheap and comes out fast. Have some cash on you because it's cash only. -

Heard lots of great things about this restaurant and finally got to try! Ordered:
Crispy salmon with crispy rice (4/5): salmon was cooked well and pairs nicely with the sauce provided. (Pour the sauce in your rice and tastes even better!)
Fillet mignon with crispy rice (5/5): fillet mignon pieces were very tender and had nice flavor.
Probably would not get the crispy rice again as it is an invitation to cracked teeth... but it's a texture to experience. Just be careful about your teeth! :P
Looking forward to trying more dishes from their menu! Til next time~ -

As a habitual late night eater, I'm honestly so grateful that Luc Dinh Ky is open late. Not only is it open fairly late, it's also some really good food as well!
My usual order is their french style steak with grilled rice and my girlfriend's is their grilled salmon with grilled rice. Not that I've really paid attention, but Luc Dinh Ky is the only place I've noticed that has grilled rice. I think the crispiness from the grilled rice adds a nice texture. If you're skeptical, you can order regular rice instead.
The sauce from the steak is a little on the runny side. Some places make it runny and others make the sauce a little thicker that sticks to the beef, rather than run off it. Normally I like the sauce to be thicker, but it actually works well with the grilled rice. They have a chili paste at the table that I like to mix in to make it a little less runny, but also giving it a bit of heat.
My other order is their pho (#55), I believe. They really don't hold back on the meats either. My bowl is typically packed with slices of beef, tendon, brisket, a few meat balls, and of course plenty of noodles! The broth here is lighter than some places. It's not as oily, it's on the clearer side, and if you're using the basil, the soup draws flavor from the basil, as opposed to basil leaves floating around and being overpowered by the soup. I always finish it until there's zero soup left.
As for the service, my girlfriend and I have always gotten really good service here! The ladies here are always so nice and refill our teas. But I get it though. You're either gonna get really bad service or really good service. There's honestly no in between. Just go without any expectations and you'll leave feeling less disappointed if you do get bad service. -

I've been coming to Luc Dinh Ky since I was a kid because my dad loves Vietnamese food. My brother and I immediately fell in love with the Salmon with grilled rice, and we've been getting it ever since.
Among the many things you could get here, I would highly recommend the salmon with grilled rice. It's a fried salmon topped with a thick fish sauce served with two stacks of grilled rice and a couple slices of fresh tomato and cucumber. It's cheap, fast, and delicious.
You are also given free tea with your meals.
The shaken beef, noodle soups, and chow fun are also popular here, but my favorite is definitely the salmon with grilled rice.
